When trying to install the Quest Webparts on the SharePoint server farm the following error is received:-

Object Reference not set to an instance of an object.

Cause

<p>The SharePoint sites are down.</p>

Resolution

<p>Check if the SharePoint sites where the Quest WebParts are being installed are browsable in a web browser.<br/><br/>Once the sites are up QWP gets installed without any error.</p>
