How to upgrade SharePoint environments using QuickApps
When upgrading environments from SharePoint 2010 with Quest Web Parts 5.7 to SharePoint 2013 with QuickApps 6.2 (via database dettach/attach), the Ribbon in 2013 still shows the old Quest Web Parts category and thus QuickApps 6.2 are not functioning and displaying correctly.
<P>Before doing the database dettach, Quest Web Parts 5.7 was either not uninstalled or the uninstallation was corrupt and incomplete.</P>
<P>Before doing a database dettach perform the following steps:</P> <OL> <LI>uninstall of Quest Web Parts v.5.7 </LI> <LI>dettach/reattach the SharePoint database</LI> <LI>install QuickApps v.6.2</LI></OL> <P> </P>
